How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from before because i used to sleep in the kitchen i was badly affected by the smoke, i can now comfortably sleep since i completed the new house.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My goal is to sell braids to be a supplier of hair braids to salons in the village. Most salons struggle to go too far shops to buy them yet I can fill that gap. In that case i will explot the opportunity since there is no competition.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my life is that I bought a cow for my family. I always desired to own one. This means lack of milk will be something of the past. I was also able to finally complete building a house.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months in that I expect the cow I bought to have given birth, hence, i will sell milk to my neighbors so that I can earn a little income to sustain my family.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I own a cow now and soon I will be having milk for sale and consumption. This is the biggest difference in my life. With time, it will also reproduce and I will have more cattle. In case there will be need to sell some in future I will, then get funds from that as well.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life in the next six months to have improved because I will be having funds. I will put ceiling in my house because it is still pending, take my children to a good school and have a better economic status. The above sources of income (selling milk, beans and poultry) will enable me to fulfill these plans.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is currently different because I have planted an acre of beans for sale. I am also grateful because my house is now a little more comfortable than before. We were sitting on wooden chairs but with the cushions I bought using Give Directly transfer, things are better because we do not sit on plain wood any more. I also feel less burdened financially because the transfers have given me a sense of financial freedom.
Do you have any new goals that you didn't have before receiving the transfer?
My new goal is to use my second transfer on poultry. They will give me an additional income from sale of eggs. I will also buy broilers and rear them for sale.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Having got married in 2010,it took until 2014 before I could conceive and give birth to our first born child. This is the biggest hardship I have faced in my life because I was subjected to public ridicule and a negative self judgement. I was disheartened by societal expectations. I am now a happy mother of twin boys!
What is the happiest part of your day?
Having slept well and wake up healthy in the morning is a good feeling. This is the happiest part of my day.
What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to spend my transfer to improve my poultry farming. I want to construct a bigger poultry house and increase the current number of seven to fifty animals. Besides, I will use the remaining amount to complete the construction of our house.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My husband and I have bought a milking cow. Before then, I was a poultry farmer whereas my husband was a sheep keeper. In 2012, we sold our respective animals and bought the cow which until now has calved three times. We now have three cows in total. I am happy to have been part of this project and it's an achievement I am proudest of.
