How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is completely different in that, I had a vision of acquiring training as kindergarten teacher, but since there was no adequate resources, my dream seamed to be thwarted, but transfer has lighted the candle of hope, and I am sure that I will complete the training since I have managed to pay fees for the whole course.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has given everyone opportunity to access the resources and freedom of spending the same money unconditionally. Everyone has unique economic demands, and this resulted to different priorities in the House. The organization is not directing the recipients on their expenditures.
In the other hand, GiveDirectly could have given us another opportunity for registration process, since our people have realized that this was a clean money, and it is now that they need that money. They should be given another chance.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent the second transfer on payment if college fees, and buying household items such as table and chairs, as well as solar panel. I did not make it to college because the resources was limited. I did my O'level certificate and attained good grades. When this opportunity landed on my hands, I decided to take advantage of that and went back to school to redeem the my lost glory. I was using a tin lamp as a source of light in my house, but this could produce too much smoke that eventually infect my children with lung infections. Now I could say that it is a thing of the past.
