Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have been able to buy some timber and iron sheets to use in building a decent house for my family. This is a major milestone in my life towards achieving my goal. I am now certain that very soon, I will not be moving around looking for clay to use in dusting my house. The cleaning process of my house will be easier and less and less time-consuming.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
It was around 10 am as I was going on with my daily activities when I decided to call one of my friends. It was at this time when I realized that I had an unread message. I became so happy after reading its contents. Receiving such an amount of money at once meant a lot in my life and I knew that I would use it to achieve my dreams.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
When I received my first transfer, I bought a dairy cow worth KES 30000. I settled on this as a way of investing this money in a project that will not require most of my attention. When it reproduces, I will be selling some milk and use the money to pay for my children's school fees. Also, I bought some timber and iron sheets to use in building a decent and permanent house for my family. I decided on this so that I will use my second transfer to commence the construction process and to purchase more materials. I spent the remaining amount to buy food and other necessities for my family.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money from GiveDirectly will enable my spouse and I to build a home.Currently,we live in old houses belonging to my husband's late parents.Since this is a family house, his siblings also live here.We therefore do not have any privacy as a family and so we would wish to build our own houses. It is also a chance to start developing something that we call fully call ours. With this money,I intend to buy building materials as well as pay for labour.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I currently teach at a nearby primary school.Though I have not been formally employed into the teaching profession,I really enjoy it.Considering the struggles I went through to complete my college studies, being able to administer this service to young minds.I spend most of my day in school and all the activities therein make my day very happy most especially having the chance to impart knowledge.Am happiest in the morning through to late afternoon when am at school.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I joined college in the year 2016 immediately after getting married. My spouse was orphaned at an early age and his siblings depended on him for all their needs since he is the eldest. My college fees was an additional burden he had to bear and most of the time it was very difficult to raise. There even came a time when I had to drop out of college after we had exhausted all the assets left by my in-laws paying fees and meeting all the household needs.Had it not been for a good hearted relative who decided to sponsor me to completion,I would not have made it.Since then,we have been struggling to start over. This has been the biggest hardship I have faced.
