What does receiving this money mean to you?
If we are successful to receive the cash transfer, we will send our children to school and use some to complete our house project. Although we are making cassava farm and Coal for sale, however, the money we earn from those activities cannot be enough to send all of our children to school and be able to complete our house project. So knowing that education is very important, we will educate our children. By that, we will not continue to produce coal or make cassava farm when we are old.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Yes, the fact that we are alive, we are very happy that. But in general, we are sometimes side because here, the death rate is so high. And the fact that we are all inter connected here, that means almost all of the people who are dying here are somehow related to us. So with that, we can't be happy with those regular deaths. But whatever the case, we are happy as a family for the life and the food we can find to eat.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The main challenge for us here is how to raise money to implement the plans we just mentioned to you. Although we make cassava farm and produce coal to sale and support our home and planes as mentioned. However, those items are not earning us much money these days. Like the fufu, when we fixed it and take it to the market, they don't buy it. Even if they buy it, they don't pay good money for it. As the result, we spent more to produce the fufu, but realised less money after the sale. So this makes money business a challenge here because with out money, we will not be able to better our lives.
