What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer on Secondary school fee for our two children (24,000 KES), and build a new spacious house(25,000 KES).
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My daily is different in that my general life has improved because my older house was very small, but currently my family has enough space and even for visitors. Two, our children are attending school regularly due to the transfers, and supported by the dry corn business that I boosted using part of GD Transfers. All these would not be possible without GD .
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has changed the physical appearance of this village through improved housing , which is very remarkable since the number of houses that were bad was high. What GD doesnot do well is that some people go through census yet they do not get transfers, I would recommend that all people willing to be enrolled by GD should receive money.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent most of the second transfer to pay school fee for my two children who are in high school, after they have stayed home for sometime because of lack of school fee. The remaining balance l spent to buy building materials as l am planning to build a house.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my life is that, l am now curtained that my children will not be sent home for school fee arrears any more.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I would like to use part of the money to pay school fees for my son and daughter who are in standard eight and joining form one God willing next year . Secondly l would wish to buy a piece of land where l can do farming since I do not have a farm. l would also like to buy a a calf to act as security incase of any emergency. Finally l would like to use the rest of the money to open up a business to generate income to support my family.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
We use not to have a land where we could build our house but we have struggled and bought a piece of land where we have now built our own home and that is our proudest achievement.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Being that we have children who are in school it forces us to divide the little we get in paying school fees and buying food so at times we always go without food and that is my biggest hardship in life
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of the day is in the morning when all my children are able to go to school without being sent home for school fees.
