Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was so happy the moment when I received the money because I received the money when I was coming from farming and this is the time I needed the money most to help me with farming.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference is that when I received the money, we completely had no food in the household but now we are able to afford the food.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent most of my transfer to finish my pit latrine and I bought 4 bags of cement.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I am happy to be receiving this money because it has come in time. It's almost cropping season so this money will help me buy seed and fertilizer. The other money will also be used to buy household utensils and food. My wife is pregnant so the money will also help in readiness for the baby.
What is the happiest part of your day?
There's a project that sinks boreholes and when done they give meat to the houses surrounding the borehole. This is a very exciting thing for us. There was also a cash for work program by MASAF so the money used to help us greatly.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The challenges we're facing come as a result of lack of money. I as the man, have to go out and get price work to earn some money for food and other basic needs. So when there's no work out there then we have nothing to eat.
