Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
I am happy because at my advanced age, I do not have strenght to do casual labour for a living. I depend on my daughter who takes care of me single handedly. I am also happy that I constructed a permanent house with the cash transfer.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
My daughter informed me on that particular day that I had received money from GiveDirectly. When I heard the news, I felt very happy and excited because I received money to help me in my advanced age.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent UGX189000 to purchase cement, sand worth UGX200000. The rest of the cash transfer was spent on food and house construction.
