What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
I am a widower with 3 children in school, I plan to spend KES 50000 on paying my children's school fees.My elderly daughter has taken up this responsibility for the past 1 year, this does not make me happy because as a father I should be the sole provider for the my family. Receiving this transfers therefore means I can relief my eldest daughter from this yoke of paying fees .With the remaining amount I will restock 10 herds of goats to secure my future with it.This will cost me KES 5000 each.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The support I have received from my firstborn daughter has brought joy into my life.My lovely daughter has taken the responsibility of being a mother to her 3 siblings since the demise of their mother. She has taken her siblings into her home in Nakuru town providing for their needs.During the last 3 months when I was hospitalized in Marigat District hospital, my daughter took care of me and even paid for my hospital bill,"I am so grateful to her and may she leave long."Her presence in my life has been a blessing in disguise because I was at the mercy of death in the last 2 months. The influence of Tuberculosis almost took my life away.I can really a test that sickness is a very devastating and draining thing in life especially when you have no one to take care of you.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Loneliness is the greatest challenge am currently facing.I am a teacher at Loruk primary school which is 15 kilometers from my home.I commute to school daily ,this is hectic and straineous for me because I have to do household chores and cook for myself later in the evening.Life has been challenging to me since the demise of my lovely wife in the year 2022.I am currently stranded and confused on wether to remarry or not.I have fears on restarting marriage life because my 4 children are now elderly, my last born is currently 20 years . The thought of having a baby at my age of 50 freaks me out a lot moreso since am now a grandfather.I am currently learning to let go of the good memories we had with my wife , (hough painful) so that my life can go on smoothly.
