What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer on buying a mattress 4500 KES. I paid school arrears for my two children who are in a private primary school 2000 KES. I also bought two school uniform 1200 KES and food for my family's consumption.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I received my first transfer while I was at my neighbor's a messaged popped in my phone and it was an Mpesa message that showed I had received 10000 KES I didn't believe, so I excused myself and went back to my house and since I didn't trust the source as I suspected it was a scam I went an extra mile of confirming my Mpesa balance that verified it was true.I felt very happy since I did not expect to receive the money at that particular point in time since I had no money and due to the fact that I was over-excited the next thing I did was to ask my neighbors who were also beneficiaries of GiveDirectly if they had received theirs and they confirmed the same.
