My life is currently different from the way it was four-month ago because I have been able to pay school fees for my children's on time. Previously, we would strain to get food leave alone paying the school fee. That changed recently when I started getting additional income both from Give Directly and from the business I started with the previous transfers. In addition to that, I was able to construct cattle shed and I'm glad they no longer sleep in my kitchen.

In the next four months of my life, I have an additional goal of saving some money so that I can use them in the future to construct my home. Currently. I don't feel comfortable staying in my father-in-law's home because it has deprived me of a lot of freedom and privacy. Apart from that, there are certain developments goals I cannot achieve while I'm still at his place thus the need to have my home.

Cooking in the same room where my livestock used to sleep on was the most challenging experience in my life. I always had to put up with the awful smell of urine and cow dung from the livestock. I'm glad that I was able to construct the cattle pen away from the kitchen with transfers from Give Directly. I no longer have to endure the pungent smell as I cook for my family.

In the next six months, I have plans for constructing my home. I am planning to save the coming transfers and use it to purchase wire mesh which I'll use to fence the home to enhance security. I want to start building a fence so that by the time I will have finished constructing my house the fence will be intact and appealing.

Apart from having an easy time in paying the school fee for my child, I have also been able to buy livestock such as a cow and a sheep with the previous transfers which I consider an investment for my family. This is how different my life is currently from the way it would have been had I not received the transfer. I do not feel poor as I used to before the transfer. The livestock has transformed my life and given me hope in the future.

Currently, I do not have a reliable source of income instead I rely on my spouse in almost everything. This is so challenging because he doesn't earn much too and he's not able to meet all my needs. I, therefore, I have a new goal of saving some money so that I can use it to start a business in the next four months. With the business, I'll be able to be financially independent and help my spouse in meeting some of the household needs.

Not only have I been able to pay for my children's school fee on time but I was able to come to an agreement with the school principal that I'll be paying a certain amount of money for school fee every month. This has enabled my child to concentrate on his studies because he's not sent back home for school fees anymore. He has more studying time and his performance has improved as a result. This is the biggest difference in my daily life.

In the next six months, I do not have an additional goal but I plan to concentrate on the goal of starting up a business. After the business has picked, I believe I'll be able to have a good income to start thinking and planning for a new goal to better my life.

I have been able to pay school fees for my children in time. This was not the story before I started receiving the transfers when I used to struggle to raise money to pay school fees for my children. I have always depended on casual work of ploughing other peoples' farms since I did not have any other source of income. This was not sufficient enough to help me cater to all my family needs. I used to find it very hard to raise money for school fees and for buying building materials due to my low income. The transfers have been majorly used on school fees and buying building materials. Since then my children are rarely sent home for the same.

My new goal is to plaster the house. I want to do more with GD transfers than just what I wanted. I had longed for an iron-roofed house but I see myself plastering the house so that it becomes semi-permanent. I would want to go a step higher now that I have monthly income.

The biggest difference in my life since I started receiving transfers is that I have building materials such as nails, iron sheets and timber which I want to use in building a new house in my own home. I have always dreamt of having an iron-roofed house in my home and I feared I might not get it due to my low income from casual work of ploughing. I tried to save for the same but in most cases, we would use the savings for medication and school fees. I knew I would still live in a grass thatched house. When I received the first transfer, I knew God had answered my prayers. I have been able to save part of the transfers to buy the building materials. GD has made my dream come true.

In the next six months, I plan to buy cement and sand which I will use in plastering the house. I am determined to plaster my house so that I make it one of the best in the village. I know with GD transfers, I will be able to achieve all my dreams.

I am now able to save cash every month from the transfers I normally get in addition to making future plans such as having a new and bigger house that can comfortably accommodate my large family.

I have a new goal of building a new house within my own compound away from my father in-laws compound.

OI have been able to pay school fees for my children without so much stress. My kids do not have to stay away from school for long like they used to do before. I have also been able to save some cash that I will use to build a new house.

My life will have changed because by then I will have a business that I will be running that will keep me sustained even after the cash transfers are stopped.

My new goal is to save and finance a small groceries business for income generation.

In the next six months I expect my life to change for the better since I will hire more land to grow more food for family sufficiency.

The biggest difference in my daily life is the fact that I expect a monthly income from GD. This is a miracle in itself.
