How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Before receiving my transfers my goal was to build a house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GD does well by providing me with the money that made me build the house. Where things are not being done well I do not see anything wrong.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent the most recent transfers on getting bricks made and paid off the builders also managed to buy 26 sheets of roofing, 2 mattress and 1 blanket.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was a very happy person when I received my transfer. I just knew that I will be able to fulfill my dreams of building a house.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I have been struggling in the past even to buy relish but now I am relieved because I am able to do big things such as building a house using the money.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spend my transfer on Iron sheets. I still have the remaining amount of money which I have saved because I am planning of building a house. I will the money to hire labor and some needed items.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I am very happy for being considered in this program. This is a blessing. I am planning to renovate my house. I will buy all necessary materials such as some bags of cement and Iron sheets. I will also buy some bags of maize so that I can be able to sustain myself. I will buy mattresses and some beddings.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am always happy during lunch hours. It's the time we eat together as a family.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The main challenge is a house. My house is very small and not nice.
