How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that I acquired the cows that I did not have, my business also booms now because I added capital on it and am very happy.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion Give Directly did well to give me money and a phone. There is nothing they did not do well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer for buying a bull and a cow at 1,120,000. I bought 3 mattresses for my children and food with the balance.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have owned cows that will produce milk for the family in future, and am soon constructing a commercial house for operating my shop.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I recieved my first transfer I became very happy.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer for buying two cows at 1,100,000Ugx, 10 iron sheets at 280,000Ugx that am planning to use for constructing a commercial house for my business. I also added stock of 200,000Ugx to my shop and the remaining balance was spent for buying clothings for my chidren.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I am faced with is having to take care of the children alone as a single parent.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening when I am listening to music over the radio.

Receiving this money means I will be able to buy oxen for ploughing.
