How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is much better now in that, My life is happy and I live stress free life because I managed to acquire what I lacked in the previous life before GiveDirectly intervened. I now have livestock, household items like mattresses, Utensils, clothes and above all I stocked food in the house. I managed to enrol my daughter into secondary education using the transfers.previously, I used to hire labour because I did not have oxen for ploughing. Feeding was very hard before I received these transfers but after I got my cash I decided to stock food.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly liberated me from poverty through cash transfers. This cash has helped me in a number of ways for example, I bought livestock, ox-plough, household items, paid school fees, solar system and feed my household. In my view, GiveDirectly did not do anything wrong because everyone who is suppose to benefit got transfers.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my transfer on acquiring livestock at ugx 900000, household items at ugx 100000, pay school fees ugx 68000, medical ugx 100000 and feeding ugx 464000.
