What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer to buy household furniture which I did not have, I bought bedding which I did not also have. I bought a sack of maize for consumption, food and other household goods. The remaining amount, I spent on daily household expenditure and to pay school fees for my children who are in primary school.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
If I would not have received the transfer, I would still be sleeping in my mother-in-law's house with no hope of ever building my own since am a widow and also, I would not have bought all the household items which I have. Thank you GD for the transfer
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly did well in sending us transfer which has brought alot of developments in our community. I have not seen anyhting that GD has not done well.

I spent my first cash transfer on buying 5 pieces of iron sheets 3250 KES, paid school fees 800 KES, bought school uniform for my children 300 KES bought maize 1025 KES, cooking pans 1000 KES and spent the remaining 3500 KES on buying food.
What are you planning to spend your upcoming transfer on?
I'm planning to build a house because currently I'm staying with my children in my grandmother's house. I'll also but some goats with the cash transfer.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
My plan is to build a house since I'm homeless and currently stays with my mother in law,secondly I intend to start a vegetables business which will help in income generation and lastly use the remaining amount to buy one cow to raise.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement I'm proudest of is when I saved some cash from selling mangoes and used the money to buy some chickens,I later sold them out at a profit.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I'm facing currently is on making ends meet, my husband left for town and has never returned leaving me with the burden of raising the children alone.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning when I'm helping my mother in-law in the farm. This is the only source of livelihood we have.
