How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that I have constructed a spacious iron roofed house to accomodate me and my children. Before, we were sleeping in a small grass thatched house with a leaky roof.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly did well to give me unconditional cash which allowed us to plan and spend the money on priority needs. I have not seen any thing they did bad.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I used my second transfer for completing the construction of our new iron roofed house, renovating the old one and buying food.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means I will be in position to build an iron roofed house since the one that I currently sleep in leeks. Grass has become so expensive that I can not afford to buy. The coming of GiveDirectly is such a wonderful opportunity for my family to get a good house and also some household items that will make my home a better place.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happiest in the morning when I wake up healthy because I know I will be able to accomplish my tasks of the day.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Poverty is the biggest hardship that I am faced with. I am not able to do things in a manner that rewards. I tried constructing an iron roofed house because I thought it would serve me better but all in vain. This is because I did not have money to buy the right materials, pay for skilled labour so I struggled alone in my ignorance to raise the building which just collapsed.
