How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I do not have a new goal. I am continuing with my usual plan to build a house in the city of Buchanan. It is a dream project that I have started long. I have not been able to finish it due to no money. This third transfer will help complete my house construction, where I will not have to worry about paying house rent for my children to live and go to school.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly is doing very well for us. Giving direct cash transfer to us is too exciting. Now I feel more empower to complete the construction of a house which I started long ago in the City of Buchanan. All this is happening to me because of this organisation good approach of caring for the needy. Now I have a strong hope that my children will live in Buchanan where I will not have to worry about paying house rent. I do appreciate GiveDirectly for everything that it is doing and I am not aware of anything that is unwell.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
My most recent transfer was spent on purchasing cement to complete the construction of my house in the City of Buchanan, Grand Bassa county. Since i started constructing this house, i have not been able to complete it because of no money. It has always been my biggest dream to own a house in Buchanan city, where my children can live and go to school.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
RE: I had a desire of building my own house in Buchanan, Grandbassa Country so two years ago I started trying to put some effort in making my dream a reality by purchasing a land. When givedirectly came it was an opportunity for me to fulfill my dream so when i received my first transfer from givedirectly i started with the construction of my house process, therefore I purchase few bags of cement and sand to start producing bricks for the construction process, but because of the financial crisis i had to plus for a while. With the second transfer i was able to purchase more bags of cement and sand to produce more bricks. I was also able to use some of my money to pay both my children tuition and school fees which has help me relax for the mean time.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
RE: Givedirectly is doing very well from the enrolment process up to present their system is really good. Every individual from givedirectly that had ever come here to talk to me had been kind and friendly. One major problems a lot of us(recipients) are face with here in Rivercess is cashing out of our transfer, this area have only one cashout area therefore most of the time there's no money and most people have to travel Buchanan,Grandbassa to cashout which is stressful for especially the old folks. I think givedirectly should set up a cash out system in Rivercess, Cestos city to help their recipients get their cashout in full amount and avoid their recipients being cheated by mobile money agents, because sometimes people are being cheated because they are not illiterate.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
RE: I spend the most of my money on tuition and school fees because at this present moment I have four kids in school so after paying everyone fees the balance isn't really much as of now. Getting my kids in school this academy year had been my major priority, as the issue of money was a bit challenging for me. With the financial situation right now both in the country and with me as a person I wasn't sure of all of my children being in school this academy year.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I am fully eligible for GiveDirectly unconditional cash transfer, I intend to use the money to improve the living standard of my family by providing quality education for my children. In addition to that, I intend to use the money to establish business for my wife. The idea behind this is to empower her to be able to buttress my effort in taking care of the family.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Serving as a Project Manager for Pillar of Fire Mission, I was so excited or happy when my Manager told me few months ago that there are lot of projects that we are about to kick start. This brought happiness to me because it could lead to salary increment thereby increasing my disposable income. I will also be able to provide jobs for my friends who are qualified as a result of this opportunity.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest challenge right now is my inability to pay my children tuition on time. The salary that I currently earned can not sustain my family and I. As a result of the low income I am earning, I still owed tuition for my children from last Academic Year 2020/2021.
