Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
"The moment I received my transfer, I was happy as if Jesus Christ has come. I felt so happy when I received my transfer. This was a complete blessing. Since I came in this town, I have been a single parent. With the many responsibilities I have, it was a revelation for me. This actually settle many things for me and my children. With 4 children (3 biological and 1grandchild) and no father, it hasn't been easy. Paying tuition alone is hectic. Currently, I pay rent and also cater for their education and livelihood. Right now, the children are in Zwedru attending".
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
"The biggest difference when I successful complete my project, It will make me a house owner thereby leading to reduction on huge expenses like paying rent while also having 4 children school fees to pay. It's not a small burden".
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
"Currently, I have my transfer saved because I am thinking on building house for my children in Zwedru. I already have a parcle of land there where they are currently attending school. Being that I have already paid their first semester tuition and requirements, so it is no more my focus. As I am fully hoping on the transfers of my entire cash, as soon it's complete, I will commence my building". Sincerely as a single parent especially woman, to care for your family at the same time providing their needs, it's not easy looking at our low economic status where it only supports from hand to mouth".-
