How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Within the last four months I have just been occupied with my tailoring business which has been earning me some small profits overtime. I have been using the profits generated to keep my family going and providing enough food for them as much as I can. I also leased a small piece of land where I will plant maize in the forthcoming planting season. My expectation is that by the end of the season I should be able to harvest at-least three or four bags of maize.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I have a short term plan of starting a small scale business of selling second hand clothes to my customers because i feel it will able to generate a lot of profits for me. I have friends who are in that business and they keep telling me how profitable
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
There has been a big difference in my life because for one I have been able to boost my business in tailoring. I bought a new sewing machine which I use to train some trainees who have always shown a lot of interest in this field. That is how I generate some little cash every month.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My long term goals is to become a self -employed person so that I can have a stable source of income that can keep my family afloat moving forward into the unforeseeable future. I want a life where I can lead a peaceful life where I am assured of getting a steady flow of cash so that I do not have to worry about what tomorrow may bring.

The biggest difference in my daily life since I started receiving the money from GiveDirectly is that my business has improved because I now have a good machine that doesn't break down every time.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect to have constructed a kitchen. Now that I have two sewing machines, I'm planning to start training people at a fee.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is currently from the way it would have been had I not received the money in that if it wasn't for GD my life wouldn't have improved the way it has. This is because I now have a better income compared too previously.
Do you have any new goals that you didn't have before receiving the transfer?
I have a new goal of construcinng a kitchen. I do not have a kitchen and I didn't know I would one day construct a kitchen but with the GD money I have plans of constructing a kitchen.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I am facing in life is lack of money to expand my existing small scale business of tailoring. Change in fashions needs more money to buy the latest clothes in the market. Lack of this means loosing customers.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening after work. I find good time with my children as they tell me stories about their day.
What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to spend the transfer on expanding my small business of tailoring. I need to buy more cloths and another sewing machine. This will increase my sales and profit as well.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement I am most proud of is training as a dress maker. This has become my source of employment and income as well. I am able to provide for my family through it.
