Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
This was a moment of relief and the whole situation was relieving. Iam very happy and excited with this cash transfer from GD.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Iam sleeping in a good house with iron sheets and iam not worried of anything during the rainy season. Previously, when it started raining at night i was waking up at night together with my children to avoid being soaked in water due to massive leaking. This however is history now.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought iron sheets to add on what i already had. Iam happy to report that iam now living in a good house with iron sheets. Even when it rains, iam not worried. I also bought food stuffs such as maize, cooking oil, salt etc. I saved part of the money for daily expenses.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Am so excited to be enrolled in the project. I will use the money to buy iron sheets because my house leaks whenever it rains. I just stand on a corner waiting for the rains to stop for me to go back to sleep if its during the night. There are times when I have lost all my flour becaus it got wet with the rains whilst in the house.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Am happy whenever I have enough to eat everyday.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have is the lack of a proper house for me to sleep in. The roof of my house leaks alot.
