What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my cash transfer worth UGX 1000000 for buying two animals that I used for paying bride price for my wife. I bought seeds worth UGX 60000 ready for planting. I bought food worth UGX 210000. I bought clothes worth UGX 250000 for my family members. I hired land at UGX 100000 for crop cultivation and UGX 12000, I spentbit on transport.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well through community empowerment that has helped in poverty alleviation through giving cash grants. I do not see what GiveDirectly has failed to do.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life different in that, I am a stress free person because I have enough food that I bought with GiveDirectly's cash grant. Before this cash transfer, I used to buy food with meagre funds that I would get as a teacher's salary.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I have spent my first transfer to pay dowry to my-in-laws in form of ( Livestock (2 cows) ) at 1,400,000ugx,bought household goods/clothes (mattress for myself and clothes for my in-laws and wife (gomesi) at 300,000ugx.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my money,i felt very happy because I did not know where I would get money to marry my wife.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that, I sleep well not like before when we used to have small mattress and I'm also happy because my in-laws and I are in good terms because I gave them dowry.

The biggest hardship i have faced is the unavailability of money to pay for my children's school fees.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is the time i have money in my pocket.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
When i receive this money, i will complete the pending dowry for marrying my wife so that we are officially married.
