What did you spend your third transfer on?
I used the whole of my third transfer on expanding my house because I felt it was squeezed and couldn't fit us well while hosting visitors. So when I received the money I felt it was safe to expand it when I had money because I didn't know when I'll get money to do it.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent 19000 KES of my second transfer on buying both a cow and a goat which was used in paying my dowry as per our traditon. 20000 KES was spent in catering for other expenses incurred during the dowry payment and used the rest of the money on buying iron sheets that we are planning to use in building a bigger house since our current house is small.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
Having settled my dowry I'm now free as per our tradition and this also opened ways for my other brother-in-laws to pay visit to my parents because being the first born in our family they couldn't do it before me.

I spent my first transfer on buying a solar lamp 5000 KES. I gave my mother some money for upkeep 2000 KES.I bought household expenditure 1000 KES and 22 tins of maize for consumption.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my first transfer, I felt very happy since I have never received a lump-sum amount of money out of good will my whole life as this despite being a beneficiary in different organisations that have worked in my community.

My biggest hardship is purchasing flour to prepare food for my family,ugali is our staple food here and the flour is just too expensive to afford.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of the day is in the afternoon hours when I've ploughed my piece of garden and feels like I've worked for the day.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means that my marital status is going to be legalised,I have been illegally married according to the customary laws and just thought this is the right time to have this done.
