How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I don't have any new goal now except to complete my house. I just purchased my last bundle of zinc with other building materials. I also pay my children's tuition and even bought some provisions for the house. I also thinking of starting a business that will help me.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Givedirectly is doing great things for me and my family. with this transfer, I'm about to have a very decent house in my village. I have been living in a very old house with my family. my children are been out of school because of the low income that I'm getting from the farming job. I'm grateful for this opportunity from the givedirectly program.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My goal is to build a new house. The old house is in a deplorable condition now. I have been thinking about looking for money to build a better one. Farming has been and is still my source of livelihood. Now that GiveDirectly has given me this money, I am going to use it to achieve my goal. That is to build a better and decent house for my household.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly does well by registering every eligible household in my village. In this way, no household will think GiveDirectly is being selective during the enrollment process. To be frank in my opinion, GiveDirectly is excellent in its workings. Infact GiveDirectly is the best humanitarian organization that anybody or organization that want to give to humanity can work with.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my first payment to buy mattress and one bundle of zinc. With the recent transfer, I was able to buy zinc to be use for the roofing of my new house. I was really worried because my house was falling apart. If GiveDirectly had not come in at this time, my household could have been homeless by now. Praise be to God for GiveDirectly coming to my village.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was on my brushing when I heard a message notification on my phone. I immediately stopped working to check it and to my surprise it was the mobile money message from GiveDirectly I had been waiting for. I very happy when upon seeing this and immediately when to inform my family about the good news. They were so happy to hear this especially my wife who could not stop dancing. The next day when to Buchanan city to cash out the money.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life since I started recieving payments from GiveDirectly is that, with the money given me by GiveDirectly, I am now able to buy zinc to replace the thatch on my house. I feel relieved now of cutting thatch for my roof when ever the rainy season is nearing. Find the thatch in the bush to cut has really been challenging but thank God for GiveDirectly coming to this community.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I was able to buy two bundles of zinc with my transfer. The roof of my house no longer holds the rain water from falling in the house. Besides, every rainy season I find it difficult getting thatch from bush to replace the old ones. I am grateful for this opportunity and I am going to make a maximum use of it.
