How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been because I am happy and having a peace of mind. This money has enabled me acquire clothes, utensils, mattress to make my home lively. Before, I used to think a lot whether such items would ever be in my home.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well giving me money to enable me renovate my house and fix new windows and door, and in the village, people have acquired items that they would not have in a life time like household items such as mattresses. I don't see anything it hasn't done well.

I spent my second transfer to put floor and a veranda to my house, bought household items like bed-sheets, mattress, utensils, and bicycle.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference is I have managed to plaster my house, install strong doors and windows therefore my house is nice looking compared to the previous state it was.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
My whole body was in shock and I was so happy about this transfer because ever since I was born and during my growing days I never saw any Organization that has done what Give Directly has done to me. I ululated and said God is good for bring these love and care through Give Directly. This is so amazing that Give Directly picked me because I did not have any hope of finishing my house to the level that it is right now.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
When I received this transfer from Give Directly, I decided to work on my unfinished house. I had previously used mad for plastering the house and doors and windows were already damaged by the termites, So I bought windows and doors which are metallic. I used my whole transfer for buying materials, transporting materials and paying Labor which in total took Ugx 1700000.
