How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I never knew that I could one day live in a dust-free house, a healthier life. I never knew that one day I would own a cow and finally I never knew that my children would go to school. I have achieved all these courtesy of Give Directly. If it were not the transfers, these would still be a dream in my life.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give Directly promised us money and we received it and therefore what it does well is honesty. However, I feel that it never engaged us enough as the community members and this is why most of us failed to participate in the program.
What did you spend your third transfer on?
When I received my third transfer, I spent it on a cow worth 16000 KES and used the rest of the money for the plastering of my main house. I never wanted to lose this money since I would like to see Give Directly's legacy for the rest of my life for what they have done to us
