How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that, I have built a permanent house for my self that is left with roofing. Once I shift to my new house, I will be relieved from the rats that are currently destoying my household items.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well to give me cash that was spent to construct a permanent house for my self. GiveDirectly has only done well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to purchase iron sheets, timber, nail, food, paid construction labour and my son spent UGX 222,000.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
My life has positively changed in that, I have own new descent bedding and I am in the process of constructing an iron roofed house because I bought the required building materials. Previously I slept in very old bedding that were uncomfortable.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I recieved my transfer I became very happy because I had a plan to build an iron roofed house.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer to purchase two trip of bricks, a trip of sand, a bed, a mattress, a trip of aggregate and food.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means that I will be in position to build an iron roofed house, buy a cow so that I can have milk.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happiest in the noon time when my grand children come to play.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I am faced with is sickness. My legs are the most affected and I actually find it hard to walk to the extent that some times I just have to crawl.
