Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was on my farm weeding grass when I heard my phone beeped. I knew it was Givedirectly because nobody rings my phone. I ran back to the town and asked my son Varney to read the message; surely, it was Givedirectly money. I was very happy after the confirmation. My feet got very dusty because I was dancing and thanking God and Givedirectly. I shared the news with my husband and we went to cash out the very next day.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The difference the money has made in my daily life is the fact that I am not as stressed as before. I used to worry too much about my children's wellbeing, but Givedirectly has brought great help for me and put happiness in my life.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought three bundles of zinc and twenty packs of nails to build a better house. I also paid my three children school fees in Monrovia. In addition, I bought a new mattress to sleep on. Assorted food stuffs were bought for my house as well.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I am a wife to a man who has two women and it makes it hard for him to get enough money to send our children to school. So, when I get this money, I will send my children to school so that they can learn and do better things in the future for themselves. I make farm every year to get money to feed my children and send them to school. Just this morning, I was weeding out the grass from my farm. Farm work is very hard to do. So when I get this money, the next thing I will do is to start a business so that I can rest from the hardwork I do every year. The business I will start will be there to support my family because I will have a lot of money for the things I will be selling.
What is the happiest part of your day?
For the fact that I am counted amongst the living, I am always happy for that because I see my children and other family members. Apart from being alive, the next thing that makes me happy is when I have realized that I have raised enough money to feed my family.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
One the major challenge that I face is to find food to feed my family. At the moment, I am doing some works on my farm but getting food to feed myself while doing that work is a serious challenge for me because the rice on my farm is not ripe for harvest yet. Another challenge I face is with my dwelling place. When rain falls, we have to put pans and buckets on our bed and other places in the room so that the water can't wet our things. The room gets cold when this happens.
