I spent 1,300,000 ugx to buy a motorcycle and the balance of the money I bought one goat and three chickens.

Givedirectly did well to help us with the cash transfers. Life was really very difficult.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Our life was hard and the future was unpredictable but when I received the transfers, my life changed and there is so much hope for a better life ahead. We now eat well and happier than before.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
My first transfer was spent on paying dowry for my marriage, buying food stuff, a bed, a mattress, and clothes.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
That moment i recieved my money, i ran out of the house to ululate, lost sleep due to hapiness, then just gazed at the figures on my phone while thinking how to spend it.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is my feeding has improved a lot and i now dress better, freely attending church,burials and visiting others. Before, I used to have just one meal in a day, and dressed poorly compared to other women in the village.

The biggest hardship I have faced is famine.
There is not enough land for me to farm.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening when everyone is home and charting.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means buying things that i don't have for example livestock, apiece of a land, building an iron roofed house.
