What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent the larger part of my third transfer on paying school fees for my two children who are in high school and now I am at peace since I am not worried of my children being sent home for school fees as I don't have any school fees arrears.I built a toilet and a kitchen which I did not have.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different that it would have been if I never received the transfer in that I have paid school fees for my two children who are in high school and now I am at peace since I am not worried of my children being sent home for school fees as I don't have any school fees arrears.I also have a solar lamp which I use for lighting hence I no longer incur frequent expenses of buying paraffin.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly did well by fulfilling promises to the poorest households as they promised by giving money directly to the eligible recipients in my community.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to spend my transfer on paying school fees for my children who are in secondary school and one who is supposed to join college, I will also spend part of the transfer on building a kitchen and a house for my eldest son and the remaining amount I will spend on buying a dairy cow.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement that I am proudest of is that I have been making ropes using sisal which has enabled me to save cash through our village lending and saving scheme called SILK thereby enabling me to pay for my children's education.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I face in my life is that I am sick and this has forced me to keep spending my cash on medical bills thereby leaving me with little to support my family.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is when I go out in the morning to sell bananas in our local market. This makes me happy as I am able to support my family with the cash that I get.
