What did you spend your third transfer on?
There were a lot of walk ins in my compound being that I had a weak gate. I decided to spend part of the transfer building a new strong gate and currently, one has to knock for the gate to be opened. The other part I spent installing electricity in my house. I have some home appliances that could not be run using the solar I had been using earlier. The remaining amount I spent buying chicken and sheep that I am keeping and can be slaughtered when we have visitors. I am so happy as GiveDirectly has moved me from class “B” to class “A”. What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my transfer on buying a big water tank for saving rain water. I then bought a new steel gate and replaced it with my wooden gate that was not so nice. I then invested the rest of the transfer in a poultry farming business as an income generating activity.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that my wife no longer has to go to the river to fetch water because we now have water in our tank to use at home..

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Paying school fees for our children in secondary school is our biggest hardship since farming as our main source of livelihood is not able to provide much to cater for the huge fees we have.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of the day is in the afternoon after farm work when I get time to read,I enjoy reading alot as it keeps me on the know.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means the world to me, I have lots of needs I haven't been able to fulfill due to financial challenges but with this transfer,our lives with change for better.Finally I can be able to pay school fees for my children with some level of ease.
