What does receiving this money mean to you?
This money will mean alot to me. Our family rely heavily on farming which is mainly for subsistence purposes. Unfortunately we are now ageing and we are not cultivating to our potential. So this money will help us with farming activities, we will buy enough inputs plus hire some labor. We also intend to rennovate our house which is in bad shape now.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In September 2021 we had an initiation ceromony. That was the happiest period on my family. We get to dance, bought new clothes and we ate good food.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Our biggest nightmare is lack of money. We are forced to cut natural trees and make charcoal just for us to survive. We realise the importance of trees but we have nothing else to do. We rely on farming but it is not rewarding as it used to be.
