Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My additional goal is to start a poultry keeping business. I will buy chicken to start the business because I have a poultry structure already. I had made good progress before with this farm business and I am prepared to go into it again.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last for months is the saving s that I have been making in a merry go round group. It is essential to me to have this saving group so that I can use it to restart poultry keeping that failed last year due to a certain disease. I know the benefits of having daily income from selling eggs. This is why I am planning to do it again using the savings that I will be getting from my group next month.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, my life will have improved because I will have restarted a poultry business and this will be a constant income. I believe that income from the eggs and selling chicken when they multiply can enable me to buy a cow, just like I did before. The current cow that provides milk for this household was bought through a similar project.

Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I had initially initiated a poultry project and majorly concentrated on keeping hybrid chicken. Due to the lack of enough resources, I ended up losing the majority of them because I couldn't constantly afford to purchase the required feeds as well as vaccines. Poultry keeping is my passion and I plan to revive the project in the next four months. This time around, I will only keep local breeds because their production cost isn't higher than the other breeds.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
In the last four months, I joined a table banking group where we agreed to contribute some money at the end of each month. Saving on my own has always been a challenge and for this reason, the plan was going to be the best idea. Truly, I have managed to be disciplined and the best part is that when my time to receive the money reaches I will be the happiest person because it will help me invest in poultry keeping. This has always been my passion but due to financial constraints, I could not chase this dream. I can only thank GiveDirectly for the financial support
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My expectation in the next six months is to earn a good income from the poultry project which I am planning to revive soon. The income will enable me to meet basic necessities for my household with ease. For me, this will reward me the title of being called a responsible parent.

I finally used the remaining amount to pay for my daughter's school fees.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to start a poultry keeping business. I am planning to buy a few chickens to start with. I currently don't have a kitchen coop so they will be sleeping in my kitchen. I believe that with time, I will have saved enough money and built a more established kitchen house. I don't have to start big because even a journey of a thousand mile starts with one step. This side hustle will assist me in school fee payment and meeting my other goals.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my life ever since Give Directly came into my life is that I have been able to comfortably pay school fees for my child. I am a single parent, therefore, I need to solely work hard and ensure that my daughter's school fees are paid on time. I normally sell milk as my source of income although this source is sometimes not reliable. When the cow stops producing milk I end up doing casual jobs which is more tiresome and pays very poorly. This usually puts my daughter's education at stake. I always stressed during these moments. I am happy I now have an alternative source of income. I believe she will now finish school regardless of my financial status
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I believe my life will have improved in the next six months because my poultry farm will have grown and paid well. I will be adding my profits from the poultry business with the sales from milk in order to pay school fees for my daughter. I am glad I no longer have to do casual jobs in order to meet some of these goals.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Before Give Directly started giving us the monthly transfers, I had already built a house but I had not fully completed with the finishing. After saving some amount of the monthly transfers for a while in a merry go round group that I joined, I was able to buy and fix the ceiling board in my house. The house is now more neat and warm unlike before when staying in the house, one had to still keep warm because of the cold. This, I consider as the current difference in my life.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
As it is now, I do not have any new or additional goals for my life for the next four months. I just want to ensure my family has enough food and other basic items first.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that I am no longer worried about having to go without the basic items. This is because I was able to start a poultry project using the transfers that I usually get from GiveDirectly. I am able to sell the eggs produced and the proceeds thereof are able to sort our daily household necessities. Before the transfers, it was sometimes a challenge getting the basic items because we majorly depended on casual jobs in order to get some money for these needs, which was on many occasions unavailable.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months in that I hope to have expanded my poultry keeping project by buying more chicken. This in turn will increase my income through the sale of eggs at our local shopping centers. More proceeds from this mean I will be in a more better financial position to take good care of my family by providing enough basic necessities and ultimately an improved lifestyle.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I am now able to meet most of my family's basic needs much more easily than I could do four months a go. This has been brought about by the various investments that I have been able to make with the help that these transfers has given me. Proceeds from my poultry keeping business has seen us have more income for the family and this has enabled us buy some of the needs we want with much ease. The four months has also seen my family grow from one that was not so proud to one that is happy. This has made me equally proud as a mother as for once, I feel that I am a responsible parent.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
One of the additional goals that I have in the next four months and in which I am keen in accomplishing is to buy a dairy cow. I am an active participant in a monthly merry go round that was started when we started receiving GiveDirectly transfers. In the next four months, I will get the money from the merry go round and combine it with proceeds from my poultry keeping business to be able to buy a dairy cow. Dairy keeping, I know will be a great step for our family towards becoming fully self reliant. With this we shall have more income for the family and be able to pay all the bills without having to over borrow from neighbors or any loan lending institution.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Four months a go, I had only three chicken to rear within my compound. I have been able to increase the number of chicken gradually since then. I now have a hundred chicken to keep in my poultry unit. With these chicken, I have been able to collect up to twenty eggs per day from the chicken that have matured and very soon I am going to be collecting up to fifty eggs per day. The poultry keeping project has enabled me to meet most of my family's needs with much ease. I sell all my eggs at a favorable price and this has made me more self reliant than I was four months a go. I attribute my success in poultry keeping to the monthly transfers that I receive from GiveDirectly always. This has been the biggest difference in my life over the last four months.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect that we will be having a dairy cow for the family. The dairy cow shall come with more food and more income for the family. It is only through dairy farming that we can raise reasonable income to take our children to good schools and give them the best education which is a dream of every parent.
