What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means I will resume college where I was learning skills in hair and beauty. This is because I love plaiting hair and making people look beautiful. With part of the transfers, I will also buy oxen and an ox plough to aid me in farming, and a few goats which I can sell when emergencies arise.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I enjoy afternoons because this is the time when I can rest after a busy morning of herding my neighbor's livestock, doing house chores, bathing my brother and making him breakfast.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Losing both my parents and assuming the responsibility of taking care of my brother who is mentally ill with no reliable source of income has been my greatest struggle. I even had to drop out of college due to lack of finances, it was very difficult to pay fees and also feed, treat and cater for our other needs.
