What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer on hiring two pieces of land 20,000 KES since I am planning to plant sugarcane and out of the yields I will sell to the near by factory and make some income.I bought an ox for cultivation 20,000KES.I have saved some amount 8,000KES which I am planning to pay labours who will cultivate the sugarcane farms.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I never received the transfer in that I have hired two pieces of land which I am yet to start a sugarcane growing project and I am hopeful that the yields will be fruitful hence I will use the profits to pay my household expenses.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly did well by giving money to the poorest households in my community which has lead to higher standards of economic development.

I spent most of my second transfer to buy a bull which I could later sell and make profit, I also bought a mattress, and 2 goats.

My daily life is different in that I now have my own livestock which I could later sell for a hire profit .

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer to buy a goat worth 2500KES,a wall net 1500 KES to decorate the house ,my clothes plus the children's clothes 2500 KES,utensils worth 3000 KES and used the rest of the money to buy food to sustain my family members
What are you planning to spend your upcoming transfer on?
I plan to buy a piece of land since right now i am still staying in my father in law's pieces of land,i will also buy 30 pieces of iron- sheets and other building materials to build my house.I also plan to buy a cow and get income in the near future

What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement is having started a small business selling fast moving consumer goods and after saving for a while I was able to build my own house.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I face right now is lack of a sustainable source of income for myself and my spouse, this means that we have to be very careful with the little money we earn.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning when I wake up because I have not met anyone who can annoy me.
