What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer on building a hut for my son for 20,000 KES since he used to sleep at our neighbouring homes and it was not convenient. I also plastered my own house for 25,000 KES. In addition, I started a sardines business for 2,500 KES though I also sell sugar , salt ,soap, and buns on the side. My life has changed for the better and I wish GD could do the same for other poor families.

I spent my second transfer to buy building materials that I used to expand my house that was too squeezed to accommodate my family. It is now very spacious and can comfortably accommodate my family. I also spent part of the transfer to start a business of selling fish.

The biggest hardship I have faced is providing food for my family, due to inadequate income.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the afternoons, when I'm preparing fish to take to the market for sale.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
I feel excited. This is because, I plan to use the money to use part of the transfer to expand and plaster the walls of this my house, since it's small. And lastly, I plan to use the remaining amount to build a toilet.
