My additional plans for the next four months is to be able to improve my houses which is mud walled to a concrete walled. This, I plan to do by using money from my merry go round contribution which I will get in the month of November. Improving our house shall enable us to make other valuable family investments like installing electricity and make it easier for us to maintain our new house in terms of cleanliness. It shall also boost security for my family. I am looking forward to seeing this happen.

The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have been able to consistently participate in a merry go round that has seen me buy a dairy cow. We used to rely on milk from our parents to feed our children which was sometimes unreliable. Milk is a very important source of protein which guarantees you a healthy family especially when raising young children. Milk produced shall at the end of the day help us in meeting other family needs as well and bring to an end over reliance on our parents who also have their needs to take care of.

In the next six months I expect my life to change in that I shall have improved my house from mud walled to a concrete wall. I shall also have more milk supply for the family and raise an healthy family in the long run. With support from my wife, I can be sure to accomplish this within the next six months.

My life is currently different from how it was four months in that I used to do much of the casual jobs in the village and the money I could get was not enough to meet all the basic needs but currently my family have enough food and also other basic needs.

My new goal for the next four months is to saved money in the merry go round group to buy materials to renovate my house to look nice.

The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that I have bought a heifer. I used to save the money in the merry go round group that we started in our village immediately when we received our first transfer. When it was my turn to get the money I bought a heifer. This has always been my dream and it has been achieved already. I used to do casual jobs in the village to get an income to meet the basic needs of my family. Now as I do my current job I have hope that in the near future I will no longer be buying milk. It is so costly for me to buy milk from the market because I do not have a permanent job. I'm so grateful for the support it has changed our living standard and it has given us hope for a better life in the future.

I expect my life to change in the next six months in that I will have started a poultry keeping project. This project will enable me to earn an income by selling eggs at the market to meet other basic needs.

My employment as a teacher is in a small school is managed and funded by the Parents Association. The income I get from the salary is meager and comes irregularly as payment dates are not could not be honored because of the financial constraints faced by the school. I could even go for up to three months before receiving any payment. This had really been affecting my ability to feed my young family. Savings was a just but a dream. Four months ago, I was able to the very regular cash from GIveDirectly to properly cater for my family's needs. I also joined a savings group in which I have saved about KES 12000. This has only become possible because of GiveDirectly.

I plan to use the money I will be receiving in the next four months to buy building materials. I will buy wood and cement which will be used to put up a semi-permanent h I wish to connect electricity to my home so I better build a semi-permanent house rather than connecting to the current mud house that I live in.

The biggest difference in my daily life is the constant and regular income. The money from Givedirectly comes monthly unlike the salary I get as a teacher under the parents Association employment and not tthe government. My salary always comes late and at times fail. It is also a reality that I don't get paid during the school holidays. This means that my income is irregular and exposes me to hunger during such times. However, the money I receive from the transfers has been constant and this is what has stabilized my families food supply. I am so proud that I have been providing sufficiently through the last four months.

I expect my life to have changed in the next six months in that I will have completed house building and connected electrically to the house. My children will have enough light and time to study in the evenings. If GiveDirectly visits me in six months' time, you will be surprised by how much improvement in my home has brought to me and especially my children.

We currently have enough food and crops that we used the transfers to buy. We also bought cushions to make our wooden seats more comfortable. These are the differences that the transfers have brought.

My new goal is to renovate our house because we live in an earthen one. I feel we need a better one with plastered floor and wooden walls.

In the past four months, our standard of living was lower than it currently is. We lately have enough food unlike earlier when we would feed scantily.

I expect to renovate our house in the next six months. I feel we need a face-lift because it does not look that good. It has earth walls&floor but I plan to wooden it and plaster the floor.

My new goal is to set up poultry farming.

Before, my source of income has not been enough to boost my projects. With GD transfer, I am confident that my plans will go through.

I expect to have build a house and bought livestock in the next six months.
