How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
For my last transfer, I'm about to complete my house, I pay my children's balance tuition and even bought them some school material.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Givedirectly is doing a great job for me and my family. I was living in an old house with my family. I'm so glad that I'm benefiting from this program.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
A huge amount of my transfers were spent on my house. However, I bought some building materials and even pay my children's balance tuition.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have not withdrawn my payment. My goal has been to renovate my house. I have not been able to achieve this due to lack of money. I am a classroom teacher. Things have been very different for my family. The government don't send salary on time. Sometimes after six months then I get one month salary. I had to start making farms inorder to sustain my family. I was so excited when I started receiving payments from GiveDirectly. I am grateful for this amazing opportunity.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GiveDirectly does not do anything wrongly. It's cash program has changed our lives and given us better futures. We are so grateful for this.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I was so excited when I received my payment. I have not withdrawn my payment but when I do, am planning on buying some bags of cement to plaster my house. I will also buy a bag of rice and some other food items for my family.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
"I'm already an oldman, so I'm more focus on securing a better future for my children. I was able to purchase a parcel of land in Monrovia few years back,so benefitting from this program, I'll use the money to build a house on that land so my children in Monrovia don't have to pay rent."
What is the happiest part of your day?
"My greatest joy in the last month is that i have been able to attend a government organised training at the government teacher training center to enable me gain a full teacher employee status".
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
" my greatest challenge now is paying tuition and rental fees for my children living in Monrovia which is a burden. When i receive a transfer from GIVEDIRECTLY i will build a place for my children in Monrovia which will help reduce the stress of paying tuition and rent".
