I spent my third transfer on cultivating my farm 5000 KES and buying seeds 2000 KES. I paid school fees for my three children who are in primary school 3000 KES. I bought a bag of maize 5200 KES and clothes for my children 1500 KES . I fixed a steel door 8000 KES with two steel doors 5000 KES and a fascia board 3000 KES. I repaired the roof of my house by replacing with new iron sheets.I also bought a dairy cow and a goat too.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that I now have a nice house which my neighbors applause as they pass by. I also have a solar lamp and now I no longer incur frequent expenses of purchasing paraffin as I used to while using traditional lantern for lighting at night.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly did well by carryout door to door visitations which enhance success in pointing out the right target groups through the evidence it had obtained on what was the picture on the ground. GiveDirectly didn't do well by not give money to all the members of my village as some where excluded as ineligible households.
