What did you spend your third transfer on?
I invested a portion of the transfer in tree planting. Paid my child in secondary school fee. Bought a cow with part of the remaining transfer. I also purchased a sack of maize for family consumption.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that I now have a reliable source of income from my pest control business which I commenced with my second transfer.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, what GD does well is that it deals with the recipient directly without engaging other third party. Apart from that, it is not involved in corrupt activities. What GD should also do is that it should give the recipient the transfer in one go.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent 19000 KES of my second transfer on paying school fees for my child. I then used part of the balance to buy 20 iron sheets which I will use to construct a new house for my family. Since I had no income, I used 15000 KES of my transfer to buy pesticides and fumigation equipment for a pest control business which I currently operate. The balance was then spent on buying dry maize for my family's food.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
Firstly, we plan to use part of the transfer to build a bigger house because this one is small. Secondly, we intend to use another part of the transfer to start a mini-hardware, where we plan to sell timber, nails, and other items. Lastly, we plan to use the remaining amount to pay school fees for our child, whom we expect to join a high school next year.
