How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Four months ago I was using the chimney lamp for lighting at my house. It produced a lot of soot that was unhealthy for my household members. My children complained of difficulty in reading using the lamps. As we speak, I have a solar panel system that lights my house so well and I am so glad GD came into my life. Besides that, paying school fees has been a headache but not is walk in the park. So long as you keep up the good work.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I am planning to venture into poultry farming to help me generate income for my household members. This has been my plan but I lacked resources.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is I have built an iron sheet roofed house and I can now comfortably face the rainy season with no worries of being rained on while in my house. Before I used to have a grass-thatched house that leaked whenever it rained.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, my poultry project will be flourishing and I will have finished paying the loan that I acquired while purchasing the solar panel. This will be a big step in my life and I can wait for it.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I have been using the monthly transfers to pay school fees for my children which makes them attend their classes on a full-time basis unlike before when the teachers used to send them away due to lack of fee payment. I am glad that currently, my kids do not skip any lessons because I pay their fees promptly once I get the monthly transfers.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal right includes hiring a piece of land where I can do some farming. Currently, I only rely on the small piece of land where I have been carrying out subsistence farming but I believe that it is time to venture into large scale farming where I can be able to get more farm products and profits at the end of every season.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference is that I have been able to build a new house which I would have never managed to build without the financial help from Give Directly. I used to live in a very small, grass thatched house that was very old and in such a dilapidated state. Every time it rained, the house used to leak excessively making life very unbearable. However, we are now past that because we now have this new building with an iron roof on our heads, so I am no longer worried about the rains anymore.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect some changes to take place in my life especially through launching a small scale business where I expect to carry out a fish-mongering business. I have a strategy where I will be buying fish at a wholesale price and then later sell them out at the retail price, which of course will generate some profits for me.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
School fees for my children was a big problem in my life for years now. It was a burden which I did not know how I will solve it. I used to strain through small income from casual work but it was not enough. I ended up having a lot of debts because I had to ensure my children study in school by all means. At times I would spend outside far from home just because I was looking for money. I have been using part of the transfers to pay their school fees which I am glad I have cleared all their balances. I do not feel stressed anytime they are going to school unlike before.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
In the next four months, I would to buy a cow. This will be an investment for my family which will improve my family financial status and I can later sell its offspring to raise money for other family needs.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life since I started receiving these transfers is that I have a new, better and iron-roofed house. Before the transfers, I used to live in a small grass thatched house with a leaking roof. During the raining seasons, I would have to cover part of the roof with polythene to avoid being rained on. When I started receiving the transfers, I started buying building materials bit by bit until I had enough to build a house. I am glad I do not go through the shame I used to have.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I would want to buy a cow. It is my dream which I see myself accomplishing. I would not want to go back to where I was before the transfers. I want to be independent and give my children a bright future.
