How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Yes, I have new goal that I want to achieve. My goal is to build my house. My son and I have been living in a very deplorable house. During raining season we experienced lot of leakages because the house roof is made with thatches. When I received my first transferred I saved 20,000LD to add up to my second transfer to purchase a guarantee roofing sheets that I will used to roof my house upon completing the elevation phase.

In my opinion GiveDirectly should continue giving out money to poor people. And I don't know what GiveDirectly is doing wrong.

I want to build a better shelter for my family, which will keep us warm and safe during the wet season, Because the house we lived in is in a deplorable condition.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt very happy when I received my transfer. I came from the farm in the evening and everyone was talking about the money so I went to the network are and checked then I saw it. I couldn't believe my eyes. It made me extremely happy.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I have been never received money like this before so it's a big change and besides, I've been wishing to build a new house, now with my payments from GiveDirectly, i will be able to do so.

I have been living in this mud hut for over eight years so my utmost priority is to build a new house and live comfortably. This hut is falling apart and it's fast approaching rainy season when the thatch leaks so much. My mind is to be prepared for the rainy season ahead.
