How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Currently, my life is different in that I have been able to cement my previous mud house into a semi-permanent one. Now we are staying in a clean environment hence it has prevented the exposure to dust which was a challenge before. Having a cemented house is a pleasure that never seemed to come to pass hence we no longer spend much time to look for mud and smear the mud house, in fact, we have enough time to concentrate on other income-generating activities of our household unlike before.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal in the next four months is to start a grocery business and with profits of the business, I will use to pay school fees for my child who is the pillar the success of our household at the moment.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Previously, I lead a hopeless way of life I couldn't stand the vicious cycle of life to befall my children. My two children have not been able to pursue their dream of enrolling into secondary school due to the meagre income which I used to get from odd jobs that couldn't sustain my family.GiveDirectly's transfers have come in handy hence the biggest difference in my daily life is that I being able to enrol my child in high school and now I am happy since I am certain of my child's success through education.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months in that I shall have saved money and use it to start a cereal business to make an extra income. I believe from the extra income I will have ease in paying school fees for my children hence they will no longer stay home for a long period of time due to school arrears and also their performance in school will be good.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I face is, lack of finance that made my first two children to drop out of school without going to secondary school. I only hope I will get money to enable the other ones acquire the necessary education to the highest level.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is, afternoon when I am with my children and we seat together and share issues.
What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to spend my transfer to, plaster my house since in this area where we stay, getting soil for smearing is expensive and always cause chaos when you want to get good soil from someone's land. This plastering will be a permanent solution to this problem.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement I am proudest of is,I used to stay in a small grass thatched house that could not accommodate my family but I used to save from my small salary until I was able to build a semi permanent house where I now stay well with my family.
