What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer on buying two goats 8000 KES and a mattress 3,600 KES . I bought three steel windows 12000 KES and clothing for my family 3,000 KES. I bought a bag of maize and household expenditures.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I have received the transfer in that I have acquired small livestocks that I didn't have before since I couldn't afford. I have also renovated my house by putting steel windows and other fixtures
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion,GiveDirectly did well by giving assistance in form of money that enabled individual households to use them on their most pressing priorities and as a result their is a big improvement on the living standards of this households.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent most of the second transfer to repair my house and fix steel windows, since my house was in a very bad condition with rotten wooden windows, which was very insecure. I also spent the transfer to buy clothes and 1 sack of maize the remaining balance l spent to buy food.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that, l am now staying in a very nice secured house that l do not need to worry when l am sleeping, l also dressed myself smartly compered to before when l was putting on very old clothes.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer on cultivating my farms so as to increase area under farming hence higher yield. The remaining cash I spent on renovating my house so as it can be neat and clean as previously it was in pathetic condition.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt happy when I received my transfer. It was the best moment in my life as I haven't receive such amount for free. Thanks to GD.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I plan to make better house for my self since the one I live in now is old with walls falling. I also plan to make a toilet and buy some domestic animals since I have none.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement is that I was able to educate my son to form four amidst all the financial challenges and now he is independent working in Meru.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest hardship is in fully attaining my basic needs: food, shelter and clothing. I have no stable income to guarantee attainment of my needs.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Whenever am awake many thoughts cross my mind. Am thus only happy at night when sleeping because I rest from many thoughts.
