What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to purchase 2 cows, clothes, food, paid for transport, gift and saved UGX 530,000 which I plan to spend on renovating my hut.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well to give me cash that I spent for purchasing cows and clothes. GiveDirectly has done not done any thing bad.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Through this finacial support, I was able to acquire 2 cows that I intend to use for paying dowary. I am also planning to renovate my hut that currently leaks whenever it rains. Before receiving this transfer, I did have enough money to acquire cows for paying my wife's dowary and renovating my hut.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my transfer for purchasing a cow at UGX 600,000 and 2 piglets at UGX 120,000 that I hope will help me with education of by children. I bought thatch at UGX 220,000 and UGX 65,000 paid labour for renovating my hut. I have not yet spent UGX 695,000 but I plan to spend it on paying medical bill, buying clothes, hiring acres of land for farming and weeding crops.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was awake at around 3 AM when my phone rang, my wife was the first to see the message and she passed the phone to me. I became very happy upon seeing money in my account and I told her that GiveDirectly had sent us money, we couldn't sleep again.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that, I own a cow and 2 piglets that will help me pay my children fees in future. I have also renovated my house and it's currently looking new. Before, my house leaked, I didn't have money to buy and transport thatch. I also had no money to buy livestock for my family.

The biggest hardship I have faced in my life is the problem of unemployment.

The happiest part of my day is the time I have money in my pocket because I can afford my basic needs.

When I receive this money, I will build a house and buy some cows.
