What did you spend your second transfer on?
I did spend my third transfer on building. I bought iron sheets, timber, a steel door and windows. The whole amount spent on building was 53,000 KES and 10,000 KES was spent to settle fee arrears.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Personally I see the development that GD has caused in my village. People have been able to build homes and lighting is all over the village.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different because, I am able to spend in my own well build home thanks to the transfers received from GD.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer to buy iron sheets and nails which am planning to use in building a new house, I bought steel door, household furniture which I did not have. The remaining amount, I spent to buy bedding, mattress and also to pay school fees for my child who is in high school.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received the money I was very happy and thanked God for the transfers which would change my life or the better. Thank you GD for the transfer.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I face is that my house leaks when it rains and I find it hard during rainy season as I have young children.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening when have fended for my family and we eat together.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money makes so happy as I'll make a tremendous step in life in terms of development.
