What did you spend your second transfer on?
When I received my second transfer, I plastered my main house, bought a solar panel and a cow. I feel proud living in a plastered house, lighting with solar and saving on paraffin. My cow will also start giving birth very soon hence anticipated increase of my wealth!
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
Initially, I lived in a leaky grass-thatched house where life was completely difficult especially during rainy season but now, we live in an iron-roofed house. It is warm, dry and healthier for our living the greatest difference in my daily life.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
When I got my first transfer,I used 6000 KES from it to buy a lorry of murrum soil which I will use to harden the floor of my house. The balance was all used up on buying a sack of dry maize for my family since we did not have enough food in the house too.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my money, I felt excited because I was not sure that Give Directly would actually send the money to us, as they pledged.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that we are facing at the moment is that of not being able to sustain most of our basic needs because my husband is the only bread winner and he does not earn a lot from his job.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is mostly in the mornings when I wake up to a brand new day.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means that finally we will be able to complete construction of our current house by plastering its walls and floor and even purchase decent furnishings for the interior.
