How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I am currently a happily married and settled woman as this transfer helped my husband to appreciate my parents through the bride price that he gave them. (This is part of my culture that dowry has to be given to the lady's family). Prior to receiving this money, my parents always demanded that I go back home since my husband had failed to properly marry me.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well by bringing money into our community to help financially. To me, it has enabled my husband to appreciate my parents. GiveDirectly on the other hand has done nothing bad.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to buy more building materials such three bags of cement, one trip of bricks and timber that I plan to start using to build. I then bought some household items food, some live stock like chicken, goats, energy Part of the transfer Ugx 470000 was used to pay my parents bride price. I am saving up some money for other emerging issues.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that, I have bought bricks and sand that I plan to use for constructing an iron roofed house when I received my second transfer. Furthermore, I have bought a bicycle, new utensils, clothes, a spraying machine for crops and livestock. Previously I didn't have enough money to purchase building materials and to buy all the items that I bought because the little money I got was spent for paying my children's medical bills.
