How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Life was so hard because I did not have where to farm, I had used most of the land as collateral security which I have already cleared those debts and also paid school fees for my children. My life is filled with you and happiness.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GD has done well because it has helped so many people and uplifted them from poverty. Everything went on well.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life, is that am sent free and now have land farm.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment i received the money, I became very happy and thanked God for bringing GD program.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer to pay school fee balances of 570,000ugx for my 3 children, paid for the mortgages land at 970,000ugx and solar panel at 210,000.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means I will be able to retrieve the piece of land that was leased, complete the construction of my house and pay school fees for my children.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the noon time when my children come back from school.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I am faced with is inadequacy of money to cater for the scholastic needs of my children.
