How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have never had the plan of build my own house in the past. But now that i have received the transfer,i have been able to set and execute the goal of building my own house. I have bought building materials and i am set to start the building when thw rainy season is over.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
The fact that the recipient is enrolled and receives the transfers directly from the org is such an exellent initiative. If the money was to go through other authority figures, there would have been a lot of fraud and corruption that would've put us,as recipients,at a huge disadvantage.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have spent most of the money on building materials like bricks, iron roof sheets, glass for windows and nails.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means will mean I will buy all the things I have been wanting to buy. I will build a better house with iron sheets and matress. I have been unable to buy these things because I depend on agriculture and animal farming of which I sell at very low prices.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of day was last week when I received a message that Give Directly will be working in my village. This brought joy to my life because I have been wanting to receive this money for a very long time so that I can build my house and buy fertilizer.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I have faced is having a house a that leaks. The roof of my house is made of grass and with rains as you know that we get heavy rains in Mangochi my house end up leaking. On top of that I also have to worry about fertilizer as the farming season is nearly approaching.
