I used the entire transfer to buy a parcel of land where I'll establish my home.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that I now have a place where I'll establish my home. I was living in frustration because I didn't have a place to built my home and neither did I have money to buy.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, what GD does well is that it give us free cash and it is us to decide how to use it in order to change our lives otherwise I'm not privy to what GD doesn't do well.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent the larger part of my second transfer on buying building materials 30,000 KES such as 30 pieces of iron sheets, a steel door and three windows since I am planning to build my dream house in my own homestead and as at the moment I am staying at my parent's in-laws homestead.I paid school fees for my niece who is in high school 10,00 KES. I also bought sofa seats 7000 KES and a bag of maize 3000 KES
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have bought the necessary building materials hence I am prepared to build my dream house in my own compound since at the moment I am staying at my parent's in-laws homestead's and I feel that their is no sense of belonging.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer on buying a table so that my family and visitors can get a place to put food on. I also bought a bag of corn for family consumption and the remaining cash I spent on leasing a pierce of land so that I can cultivate.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was very happy when I received the transfer. It was the best moment in my life as I was sure to get 110000 KES. thanks to GD.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I plan to use the transfer on farming by leasing a rice farm.Then l will use the remaining amount on buying seeds, fertiliser and paying workers that will assist me in the farm.I am hoping this will boost my family income.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
Being able to buy three cows is my biggest achievement in my life.Through savings
from rice farming,l was able to get money to buy the cows.We now have milk for my family.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Paying school fees for my nice who is an orphan in form three is my biggest dificulty.Our income is not enough to pay her fees. Sometimes we have to depend on government busaries to pay her school fees.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of my day is in the morning when working in my farm.Sometimes l do casual jobs in rice fields to get money to buy food for my family.
