What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer 30,000 and KES to stock my fish business and the remaining balance I spent to pay my children's fees.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent most of my second transfer to bale my spouse out of police cell since he was jailed, I bought 17 sacks of charcoal for sale, this is now my major source of income and the remaining amount, I spent to buy a cupboard to help me store my utensils.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
If I would not have received the money, I would still be doing casual jobs which was not giving me enough income to help support my family since I was the sole bread winner with my spouse arrested, but now I have my own business and also managed to get my spouse of police cell. Thank you GD for the transfer.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly did well in sending us money which has changed the living standards of recipient in our community and this has brought alot of happiness in among the recipients. I have not seen anything that GD did not do well.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer to buy a sack of maize for consumption, I bought a mattress since I did not have. The remaining amount, I spent to buy school requirements for my children and the rest I spent to use as transportation to visit my spouse in police station who had been arrested.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
When I received the message, I was very happy because I had lost of hope of ever receiving the transfer since every recipient in our village had received theirs. Thank you GD for the transfer.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have currently is lack of money to feed my family since my husband has been in jail for almost a year now and I have no stable job to feed my family.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is at night when am going to sleep. I feel peaceful because am done with the day's activities.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means a lot to me. When I first heard about this program I never knew I could be part of it I feel so lucky and happy.
